Funding the Science of the Unexplained
The UAP Research Foundation funds and coordinates peer-reviewed research into Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena. We prioritize rigorous methodology, open-source data sharing, and complete independence from government and defense interests.
Research Overview
What We Fund and Why
Our research program focuses on three interconnected areas: sensor and detection technology, atmospheric and electromagnetic phenomena, and policy transparency. We believe these areas are mutually reinforcing — better data leads to better science, and better science leads to better policy.
All research funded by the UAP Research Foundation must be conducted according to established scientific standards, submitted for peer review, and published openly. We do not fund classified research, proprietary studies, or work that cannot be shared with the public.
We accept research proposals from credentialed scientists, academic institutions, and independent researchers.
Submission Requirements
What We Look For
- Principal investigator holds a relevant advanced degree or equivalent demonstrated expertise
- Proposed methodology is consistent with established scientific standards
- Results will be submitted for peer review and published openly
- Data and methods will be made available to other researchers upon publication
- No classified components or proprietary restrictions on findings
Active Research Areas
Sensor & Detection Technology
Multi-spectral sensor arrays, radar cross-section analysis, infrared and electro-optical systems, and acoustic detection. We fund the development and deployment of instruments capable of capturing high-fidelity, multi-modal data.
Atmospheric & Electromagnetic Phenomena
Plasma physics, electrodynamics, atmospheric optics, and ionospheric science. We apply established physical frameworks to observed anomalies, seeking natural explanations first, and documenting what remains unexplained.
Policy & Transparency Advocacy
FOIA litigation, legislative testimony, whistleblower support, and public records advocacy. We build the legal and documentary record needed to hold institutions accountable for what they know.
Data Analysis & Machine Learning
Automated anomaly detection, signal classification, and pattern recognition applied to sensor data. We fund computational approaches that can process large datasets and flag observations warranting human review.
Submit a Research Idea
Not ready for a formal proposal? Share your idea with us. We review all submissions and may reach out to discuss funding, collaboration, or referral to a partner institution.
Formal Grant Application
Complete applications are reviewed quarterly. All fields are required. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
